- 2 cups tomato juice
- 2½ cups water
- 2 tablespoons chile powder
- 1½ tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
Instructions
- Brown the meat and chopped onion.
- Add tomatoes, tomato juice, water, and spices.
- Simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Cook and drain the macaroni separately.

Tips
- Chile powder here is the mild blended kind, not pure ground chiles.
- Meat substitute works if you want a vegetarian version; brown it with the onion the same way.
